Fredrick, Marguerite M. June 8, 1940 - September 8, 2023

Marguerite Mary Fredrick of Bronxville, NY, and Hulett’s Landing, NY, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023. Born on June 8, 1940 in New York, she was predeceased by her parents William J. and Kathleen (née Barry) Fredrick and her young brother Billy. She remains her sister Kathleen Fredrick.

After her high school graduation from Elizabeth Seton School in Yonkers, NY, Marguerite studied and received a B.A. from the College of New Rochelle and an M. A. from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. As an enthusiastic mathematics teacher at public and private schools at Westchester County, she always inspired her students to achieve their highest aims. Marguerite continued and completed her teaching career at the United Nations International School in Manhattan.

Marguerite loved her gardens, enjoyed travels throughout Europe and the United States, and volunteered and served on the board of Learning in Retirement in Iona University. She always savored many summer days at her family Lake George cottage, where she first visited as an eight-year-old child.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 19th at St. Joseph Church in Bronxville, NY.

    “Freddy” was a powerful personality in our class, and remained a faithful force in her alum years. I was stunned and saddened to learn of her death, but know that she enjoyed her life and her family and friends throughout a long and fruitful life.
