Matthew “Matt” Flegar, passed away at the age of 33 on May 25, 2024. Matthew is survived, and will be deeply missed, by his loving parents Anne and Vincent Flegar, his best friend and brother Eric Flegar, and a close-knit family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, John and Rita Johnson, and his paternal grandparents, Frank and Ada Flegar.
He graduated from St. Joseph’s School and Fordham Prep. Matt was an excellent cook and spent many hours reading cookbooks and researching recipes. The farmer’s market was one of his favorite places to go and we all looked forward to his newest creations. He loved his cat, Inks who enriched his life and spent many hours by his side.
Matthew had a great sense of humor and could always brighten the mood and make everyone feel loved. We will always cherish our time with him and continue to live each day with him in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choosing. Matthew would have asked that that you perform a random act of kindness to someone in need.
