Barbara Moore Dimpel, 86, of Bronxville, NY, passed away June 11th, 2022. Barbara was born in Yonkers, NY in 1935 and attended school in Yonkers before graduating from the Canajoharie High School. She attended Marymount College in Tarrytown. She had a successful 10-year career with American Airlines before Ralph Dimpel swept her off her feet. Barbara and Ralph were married in November of 1963, he pre-deceased her in 2019. Their life of service together was honored by induction into the Knights of Malta. They were married for 56 years.
Barbara was a devoted wife and mother who was active and beloved in her community. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Bronxville, NY. Her devotion to faith and commitment to others was always paramount. Barbara was a St. Joseph’s Mother’s Club President, School of the Holy Child Mother’s Club President, President of the Senior Citizen’s Council Tuckahoe & Bronxville, and President of the Bronxville Garden Club. In addition, she was a Girl Scouts of America leader, volunteered at Lawrence Hospital and delivered “Meals on Wheels” to the local homebound in need. Her love of dance was displayed in many “Troupe” shows that entertained local residents. Her smile and generous nature will be eternally remembered by the countless lives she touched. She was simply the best of the best.
Barbara is survived by her children, Karen Buccheri (Anthony), and Brian; and four Grandchildren, Olivia, Emma, Matthew and Paul Buccheri. Barbara’s love and devotion always extended to her “adopted family”, in-laws, God children, many nieces and nephews and their children.
Barbara was pre-deceased by Mother and Father, Mary McCarthy Moore and John Edward Moore and siblings Joyce Moore Kelly (Gene) and Edward Lawrence Moore (Patricia).
Donations to the Senior Citizens Council (Tuckahoe and Bronxville) in Barbara’s honor would be graciously accepted. https://www.scc70.org

I never had the pleasure of meeting Barbara, but we always heard wonderful things about her and her family from my sister Pauline, who used to visit from Belfast and stay with Barbara for a few summers back when she was a little girl. Pauline has so many amazing memories of Barbara from when she visited, memories that she will cherish forever. Rest in eternal peace Barbara.
