DeFeo, Cesare March 12, 1940 - January 30, 2021

Cesare DeFeo of Mount Vernon passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 30, 2021. He immigrated to New York from Avellino, Italy when he was 13 years of age. Upon graduating from college with a BS in Physics, he became a systems engineer for Sperry Gyroscope Company and traveled the world as a civilian contractor for the U.S. Navy.  At the age of 29, he decided to work for himself and invest in real estate with his family. He was an active member of the Mt. Vernon community and founded and organized the Concerned Property Owners (CPO) of Mt. Vernon. He loved Mt. Vernon as his adopted home. He was known for his generosity towards his family, friends and those in need. He loved his cars, his work and above all, his family. Survived by his wife, Susan, 5 children, their spouses, and 11 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, online donations may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, . Calling Hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 9:45am.
