Ellen Daly, age 91, a resident of Bronxville and formerly of Yonkers, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Aug. 30. A long-time employee of Our Lady of Mercy, she is survived by her son Daniel (YPD ret.), daughter-in-law Susan, and granddaughter Emily. She was predeceased by her husband Michael and a son Michael Joseph. Ellen was born in 1931 near Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland. Ellen worked at Misericordia Hospital, which later became Our Lady of Mercy, for 30 years. She made many life-long friends at the hospital and retired in 2001. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath and Son Funeral Home, Bronxville from the hours of 4 to 8 pm Thursday. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Church on Friday Sept. 8 at 9:45 am. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
