Curtin, James M. March 26, 1958 - June 30, 2020

James M. Curtin of Bronxville passed away on June 30, 2020. Born in the Bronx to Dr. Brian J. Curtin and Claire Flood Curtin. Loving brother of Thomas Hayes (Diane), Deirdre Claire (Thomas) Hommel and the late Edward. Devoted Uncle to Brian Theodore Hommel, John Patrick Curtin and Michael Augustine Curtin. James attended Bates College before transferring and graduating from Fordham University, Class of 1981, with a Communications Degree. He then went on to have a long and successful career as a Television Programming Executive. Jim also leaves behind many close friends and beloved godchildren.  Jim was a kind and generous soul and enlivened our days with his quick wit and good humor. To honor James’ memory, you are encouraged to make donations to the charity of your choice.

Memorial Mass:  10 am, Monday, July 13, 2020, St. Joseph's Church, Bronxville, NY

    The entire Costa, Carley and Caruso families mourn the death of Jim. He was a kind person who was a second son to his longtime landlady, Anita Costa. He will be sorely missed. Our condolences to the Curtin family.

    Very sorry for your loss. I worked in Sales Management at Katz Television when I first met Jim. I reconnected with him about a year ago when I joined Gray Television and had the pleasure of speaking with him regularly and attending meetings with him in New York. Jim was a wonderful guy and one of the smartest and best research/programming people I have ever worked with in the TV business.
