Collingham, Teresa A. “Terry” December 14, 1953 - September 1, 2020

Teresa A. Collingham, (Nee Eckenberger), passed away on Sept. 1, 2020 after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.  Beloved wife of Jim Collingham.  Loving mother of Thomas (Jameson), William (Diane) and Andrew (Brenna).  Devoted grandmother of Campbell, Clara, Ella, Letti, Sophie and Reese.  Dear niece of Lucille Salerno.

Terry was born in New York City on December 14, 1953 to Tom and Raffaela Eckenberger.  She graduated Fordham University and married her college sweetheart, Jim, on June 18, 1977.  She served as President of the Colonial Needle Company from 1990-2020.  A loving wife of 43 years, proud hockey-mom of three boys, and doting Nonna to her six grandchildren, she will be remembered for her selflessness and devotion to her family, friends, and work.

Terry’s love and dedication to her family was unwavering all throughout her hard-fought yet private 7 year battle with breast cancer.  Not only did she continue to run the family business and look after her grandchildren whenever called upon, she also served as the primary caretaker for her mother, Raffaela, who passed away at 100 years old in October 2019.

More than a boss; she was one hell of a wonderful woman!
From my 20 years. of working for her, this is a brief reflection of what I have witnessed.
All stemming from her being a very special daughter, she became an incredible wife (to say in the least). An “energizer bunny” of a selfless devoted mother. In turn a natural loving Nona to her beautiful grandchildren. A classy lady empowering running a household and business.
I’m proud to say, a true role model in every which way.
I can not and will not say good-bye. We never have and never will. This is, see you later or until we meet again, my dear sweet Terry.
May the little lamp on your desk, in the corner office, shine big and bright forever.

We knew Terry as a calm, kind, fun-loving special lady. She was the glue that held your family together and she touched so many lives with love, especially all of you. There are no soothing words that register at this difficult time of deep sadness. It was heartbreaking to hear of Terry’s passing, and your grief is ours as well. Hold tight to your memories for comfort ~ only time and each other will give you the strength to carry on. Memories are a keepsake from which you will never part, GOD will hold Terry in his arms and you will always have her in your hearts. With warmest thoughts and prayers, may she rest in peace.
