Donald Caster is saddened to announce the passing of his lifelong soulmate, best friend and spouse of 37 years Karin Hartmann Caster. Karin is remembered as a loving mother, a gentle soul who cared about her family, friends and all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter Lora with husband Cody St. Onge, daughter Bonnie with husband James Capparelli and their daughter (Karin’s granddaughter) Willow, daughters Audrey and Margaret, and sons Peter and Russell. Raised in Bronxville she traveled to Minnesota for college where she met her husband Donald. Professionally she worked as an assistant controller. To her family and surrounding community of friends she was known for her devotion to her children and family. She celebrated her children’s successes reveling in each of their accomplishments instilling them with a sense of self and family. Karin passed away on July 24th surrounded by family. Memorial service to be announced. In lieu of flowers or gifts please send donations in the name of Karin Caster to the attention Doctor Stephen Padget at Hospital for Special Surgery, Department of Rheumatology for research into auto-immune diseases.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date to be determined.
