Deirdre-Anne Capshaw a resident of Tuckahoe NY passed away on May 11th 2023. Deirdre was born November 20th 1966 in New York, New York to Gene and Mary Ellen Capshaw. Our Sister and Aunt will be missed by friends and family alike for her kindness and generosity. Deirdre was a lover of animals especially her dogs, Charlie, Mandy and Falco. Deirdre was most recently a published author but held various positions previously. She graduated from Lehman college with a BA degree. Deirdre enjoyed spending time with family and friends and walking her dog in the park. She is survived by her brother Sean, his wife, Jeannette and nieces and nephews Julia, Sean, Brendan and Glen Capshaw and Shannon and Meagan Walak. She is also survived by her good friend and companion Andrew Lane. Deirdre-Anne is predeceased by her husband Andrew Barr, her mother Mary Ellen and sister Theresa-Lynne. Friends and family will honor Deirdre’s life at Fred H McGrath & Son Funeral Home 20 Cedar St, Bronxville, NY 10708 on Monday from 9 to 10:30 am. A mass will be celebrated immediately following at 10:45am at Saint Joseph Church 15 Cedar Street Bronxville, New York 10708.

Deirdre and I became fast friends when we first met over 15 years ago. She was a beautiful person both inside and out.and I will truly miss her.
