On Sunday May 2, 2021 Helio Camargo loving husband departed for heaven much too soon at the age of 50. Helio battled Covid from the ICU for 50 heroic days. His strength, as mighty as it was, could not prevail over this terrible disease.
Helio joins his father Joao in heaven and leaves behind his loving mother Maria, sister Josiana and brothers Alexandre and Wagner in Brazil along with his nieces and nephews Gabriel, Thayna, Phellipe, Giulia, Murillo, Augusto, Vinicius.
Helio was also truly loved by his family here in the states and is missed terribly by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jini George Cummins & Ed Cummins along with his brothers-in-law and their wives, Billy and Patty George, Cordes George and Vivian Lem and Bart and Jenny George. Helio loved being an uncle to Katie, Kim, Danny, David, Ashley and Sophia.
Helio shared a great and true love with his wife Susan whose life he has transformed and whose love and devotion he will have eternally.

May 6, 2021 at 11:08 amSusie, eventhough I’ve never met you or met Helio, always felt like I did. My very good friend Deirdre of 35 plus years had nothing but kind and nice things to say about you both. And how beautiful, inside and out, you and Helio were. I’m truly so sorry for your loss. May he live forever in your heart. And may he rest in peace. God bless.

May 4, 2021 at 12:30 amHelio was a sweet man who cared about others and enjoyed interacting with people. He took pride in his work and his workers, and made sure everything was perfect. When I was home alone and trapped at the bottom of my hill after a huge snowstorm, he came down with a plow, just because he knew I needed help — I didn’t ask, he just came. When my little dog was in her last years and could no longer walk, he designed and built a wheelchair for her out of a luggage trolley, just because his heart was sad watching her struggle. He loved being with the auxiliary police, and we loved seeing him in uniform, helping neighbors. I was there on the day he became a citizen and it was my joy and honor to present him with his congratulatory flag on behalf of the League of Women Voters. I am so very sad I will not see his warm smile any more. Sending love and Light to his family and hope the memories you have of him bring you some comfort. I feel lucky to have known him and called him friend.

May 4, 2021 at 1:40 pmI am truly saddened, heartbroken, and somewhat in disbelief, to know Helio is no longer with us. Working with him, at DOL, I saw he was very much a hard worker that would always go above and beyond expectation. Helio never thought twice about helping someone in need and was very sweet in bringing baked goods and treats to the office for all of us to enjoy. Although I’ve only known Helio for a short time, it felt as if I’ve known him for several years. I think this was because he was a sincere, caring, genuinely good person who enjoyed life and loved to laugh. I am grateful and appreciative to have known Helio Camargo. I will forever treasure the memories made. My deepest condolences to his wife, family members and friends. Wishing you peace and strength during this difficult time.

May 5, 2021 at 9:05 amAs others have said, there is great sadness and disbelief that Helio is no longer with us. Always welcoming whenever I visited, I don’t know if he understood everything I said with my Scottish accent but he always laughed along with me. From the moment I met him, days before their wedding, his love and affection for Susie was clear.
Sadly I can’t be there in person to pay my respects and support Susan in her time of need but my deepest condolences to the family and sending lots of love during this sad and difficult time xx

May 5, 2021 at 3:13 pmLife has several mysteries, the biggest of which is death. We can never understand why you left so soon. The pain we feel is immeasurable. At these times there is no word that can be said to be able to comfort our hearts. Everything seems to lose its meaning and become small in the face of such suffering.
There is nothing capable of repairing a loss like yours, but in the name of the friendship and love we had and in honor of your memory, we must continue to live. It is necessary to transform mourning into a struggle for life and happiness, and to transform pain into longing and serenity.
I miss you, friend! Go on holding on to God’s hands and walk a beautiful path of light to the house of our Eternal Father.
We will love you forever and thank you for everything, for the trust, respect and love for us.

May 8, 2021 at 4:57 amIt’s difficult to write this as I still can’t believe you’re gone. I will always cherish the good memories we had, from our Patsy’s pizza runs at lunch time, to our Beach day fishing and Thanksgiving laughs on Jenga. You became a big brother to me at work and was motivated regardless of the challenges we faced at times closing cases. You gave us that spark we needed at the right time. Rest Easy. I wish there was more time ; however, the good Lord has called you early. Keep watching over Susie and we shall keep her in our hearts and life in this difficult time
