Brown, Patricia May 18, 1942 - November 4, 2022

Patricia E. Brown (nee Poole), 80 passed away in Calvary Hospital on Friday, November 4, 2022.  Born in The Bronx, NY, she studied nursing while raising her three children on her own. After graduating from Bronx Community College, she began working at the Hebrew Home for the Aged in Riverdale. She went on to become an operating room nurse and head nurse of the kidney transplant service at Montefiore Medical Center. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Gertrude (Toulman) Poole, her sisters Gertrude Poole and Jean Gilleece, and her husband Dr. Vivian (Ian) Tellis.  She is survived by her children Veronica (Charles) Dougherty, Michael (Teresa) Brown, Kevin Brown (Bruce Vinion), her grandchildren Brian Dougherty and Michelle (Luis) Almanzar, her great grandson Noah Almanzar, and her niece Jennifer (Samuel) Ortiz.

Besides being a devoted nurse, she was an avid reader, traveller, and word game enthusiast.  Her family always came first.  She was a treasured friend to many. She will be forever loved and missed.

    No words can express how much I will miss my Aunt Pat. My deepest condolences to Ronnie. Michael, Kevin and your families as well as her many other relatives. I take comfort knowing she is already making Ian laugh and he is, again, singing to her.
