Bisaccia, Anthony J. August 26, 1940 - June 22, 2018

Anthony J Bisaccia (Tony) of Yonkers died at his home on Long Island on June 22, 2018. He was 77 and a devoted husband of 52 years to Carol. Tony is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Paul and Kara, and daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Jason Gosselin. Tony was “Pop-pop” to his seven grandchildren, James, Abigail, Grace, Andrew, Katie, Sarah, and William. He is also survived by his sister Marjorie Cicalo and his two nephews Michael and John and his niece Kathy also surviving is his brother Joseph Bisaccia. He is preceded by this parents, Frank and Katherine Bisaccia Tony was born in Yonkers on August 26, 1940. He graduated from Yonkers High School and served 2 years in the Army Reserves. After a short stint with Otis Elevator he went to work for the City of Yonkers as a Police Officer, for 37 years, with most of them being in the Property Room when he retired in 2001. Tony was a hard worker who never liked to sit still.  His passion was tinkering around his home in Riverhead, N.Y. where he loved to drive the grandchildren around in his golf cart.  He truly enjoyed laughing with his family and friends, cracking jokes and being the life of the party. He could always be found either in the kitchen having a snack or napping in the car waiting for Carol to finish shopping. He will always be remembered for his thoughtfulness for others and his vigor for life. His smile was infectious and his warmth overwhelming. The calling hours will be held on Monday June 25, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm at Fred H. McGrath and Son Funeral Home in Bronxville. Mass of Christian Burial, will be held at St Joseph’s Church in Bronxville on Tuesday June 26, at 10:45am

    Tony was a true gentleman. He was kind to children and encouraged great playtime for all who were blessed to visit Riverhead. Thank you Sweet Tony for so many happy memories and driving my nieces around in your golf cart. Now grown up young women they never forgot those fun rides with Tony. Sleep with the angels dear friend!
