Suzanne Barkley-Luboja of Bronxville on September 27, 2017. We celebrate the life and mourn the death of Suzanne who amazed and inspired everyone with her grace, elegance and energy every day of her life. Suzanne was married to the late Edward J. Barkley for 52 years, and is the mother of Colleen Barkley, AnnElyse Barkley, Mary Kay Barkley McCaw and the late Bruce Barkley, loving aunt of Suzanne Amster, Dr. James Amster, and the late Mary Anne Donlan. Suzanne was devoted grandmother to Sarah Smith, Conor McCaw and Heron Gallagher, and great-grandmother to Charlie Smith, Wyatt Smith, and Sadie McCaw. Suzanne wed Dr. Edward Luboja in February of 2011. Suzanne was a beloved teacher in the primary grades in Yonkers for over 25 years, and remained an active member of the community as a docent at the Hudson River Museum, an energetic volunteer at Lawrence Hospital, and as a governing member of the Bronxville Women’s Club. She is also survived by her husband, Dr. Luboja, and his children, Jeanne Luboja, Gary Luboja, Ned Luboja, and Liz Luboja, Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville, on Friday, September 29, from 4 pm-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church in Bronxville, NY on Saturday, September 30 at 9:45 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to Jansen Hospice are welcomed.
