Anthony Lioy died peacefully on the night of Monday October 17th, 2011 with his two daughters by his side. He was 87 years old.
Our family is so very grateful to all those associated with Calvary Hospice who took such kind and loving care of Anthony and his family during his last few weeks. Anthony was the son of the late Mauro and Lucy Lioy , brother of the late Antoinette Lioy-Brown and the late Filomena Lioy-Ingram. He is survived by his sister, Anne Lioy-Tondow. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Lee Lioy , who died in April of this year. He was the beloved father of Christi Genovesi and Teri Magnan, father-in-law of Ken Genovesi and Michael Magnan, and grandfather of Perry Anthony Genovesi. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. It is with immense pride that we mention Anthony’s service of more than 30 years as a passionate volunteer for the nuns of the Missionaries of Charity, the order founded by Mother Teresa.
