Ansbro-Jacob, Mary February 28, 2018

Mary Coughlin Ansbro-Jacob, passed away on February 28, 2018 at the age of 93. Mary was born and raised in the Woodside section of Queens. She was the daughter of Catherine and Charles Coughlin (dec), sister of Joan Akins (dec). She married Frank M. Ansbro (dec) in 1972 and was the beloved stepmother of Robert (Regina) and Michael (dec). She was also the grandmother to 7, great grandmother to 17 and great great grandmother to 2. She was the devoted aunt to Norma (Stephen, dec) Burg, Paul (Karen) Akins, Edward (Jan) Akins and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Mary worked in the publishing industry and worked for Harcourt Brace Janovich and finished her career with Popular Science Magazine as the manager for classified advertising. Mary was a devout catholic and followed all of their teachings. She was a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Parish in Bronxville and Our Lady of Peace in Ocala, as a Eucharistic minister, lector and bereavement councilor. Mary was a loving, caring, charitable and fun loving person that had a most infectious enthusiastic laugh. She will be missed by all who knew her. Calling hours at the Fred H.
