Alice T. O’Rourke of Crestwood, NY and Jupiter, FL passed way on January 10, 2011.
Alice was born in the Bronx on February 21, 1933. She was the eldest child of Edward and Mary McPhillips McKenna, both formerly of County Monaghan, Ireland. She is survived by her three children, Alice, Andrew and Aileen and six grandchildren, Christopher, Catherine, Loughlin, Aiden, Andrew and William. She was a graduate of Saint Vincent’s School of Nursing in Manhattan. She was a longtime, active parishioner of Annunciation Church in Crestwood. She is survived by many close friends and her siblings Jean Roche, Edward McKenna, Eileen Feitz and Thomas McKenna. Calling hours are at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville on Friday, January 14 between the hours of 2-4 and 6-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Annunciation Church, Crestwood on Saturday, January 15 at 11 am. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution in memory of Alice T. O’Rourke to The Father Benedict Groeschel, Padre Pio Shelter , PO Box 55, Larchmont, NY 10538 and to Calvary Fund Inc., Hospice Home Care Program, 1740 Eastchester Road, Bronx, NY 10461.
