Alesio, Marjorie “Marge” April 30, 1918 - February 21, 2021

Marjorie Marie (Volker) Alesio left this world behind on February 21, 2021, two months shy of her 103rd birthday.  The daughter of Carrie and William Volker, Marjorie was born April 30, 1918 in Stafford, Kansas.  She married her one-and-forever love, Dr. Joseph Alesio, and made a life and family together in Yonkers, NY.  Following his death in 1999, she moved to Bronxville, NY.  Marjorie was a nurse by profession and a kind and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother by vocation.

Marjorie had six children, two of whom predeceased her: Paul Alesio and Kim (Alesio) Knudsen.  She leaves 4 surviving children and their spouses:  Joseph and Deborah Alesio of Albuquerque, NM; Mark and Phyllis Alesio of Old Saybrook, CT; Joan and Robert Farella of Yorktown Heights, NY; and Lori and Tom Belfiore of Pleasantville, NY.  She was the grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren all of who loved and adored her.

For the better part of 103 years, she made this world a better, kinder, and gentler place.  She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her whether it was for a moment or a lifetime.
